After our recent GeoKids room meeting, I spent time watching my kids play in the tee pee. B had created an elaborate dramatic play story while Baby Entropy enjoyed peeking in, peeking out, and running around it. I found myself staring and smiling for long periods of time while the kids played.

The tee pee poles are PVC making it lightweight and easy to set up. Unlike our Ikea tent, which was a big favorite but required sliding poles through loops, the tee pee can be set up in seconds by positioning the four legs. Baby Entropy asks for it by name and we set it up almost every day in B's room. It's large enough for the three of us plus the cat, who also loves it.

I was surprised by how much fun the kids were having with the tee pee. Maybe because my strongest memories of playing in forts was when I was a little older but it makes sense that kids would begin that type of play at an early age. I'm looking forward to seeing how their play evolves with it and because it's so easy to set up, we don't feel guilty taking it out for short periods of time.
