Weekly menu - 26 Mar 06
The menus are working well for me. I'm still food shopping at three stores (Trader Joes, Whole Foods, and Costco) but I'm throwing a way a lot less food. It also makes the shopping easier. Last night's lasagna was really good and I was able to freeze some for next week. I'm hoping to be able to make something I can freeze every weekend so I don't have to cook as much during the week...
Dinner for this week
- Sunday - Orzo, goat cheese, and avocado salad
- Monday - Creamy corn and roasted pepper soup with chicken and brown rice (all from Trader Joe's)
- Tuesday - Late meeting at GeoKids - meatloaf sandwiches (meatloaf from the freezer)
- Wednesday - Pasta with broccoli, sausage, and tomato sauce
- Thursday - Salmon with peppers with salad (possibly tater tots for the kids)
- Friday - Pizza night, Trader Joes pizza and spinach and feta on lavash
- Saturday - Chili with corn foccacia and salad
Lunches for our almost 4 year old and almost 2 year old (a loose plan)
- Monday - Lasagna or orzo, pear, yogurt, corn, homemade pretzels or crackers, and cheese
