Transitions

I have worked since I turned 14 and got my food handler's permit from the local health department. Now, with my 32nd birthday looming on the horizon, I am counting down the days of my last three weeks of gainful employment.

Being a 'career' mom has never been easy. Since my first son was born 7 and a half years ago, every day has been a blur of shoes and socks and drool and rushing. We rush out the door in the morning. We rush home in the evening. I rush dinner through the kitchen. I rush my kids through bath, homework, etc, just to squeeze a few minutes of rushed me time before collapsing exhausted into bed, only to realize I forgot to do the laundry. Rush rush rush rush...

So... in three weeks, one form of rushing ceases for another. I am leaving my job on Friday, turning 32 on Sunday, and beginning a new, and far more important, career on Monday. I'm going to be a stay-at-home mom.

Congratulations!

I too rush, rush, rush. The past few weeks have been a little crazy and I will be missing my younger son's birthday soon because of a work conference on the opposite coast. I look forward to hearing about your new life and wish you much happiness.

Baby, it's Cold Outside!

All of a sudden winter blew it's cold winds right into our faces this weekend. We all scrambled for hats and warm girls winter coats to wear to the county fair. The girls have grown, and we have shopping to do! A brand name long known for quality girls jacket si Rothschild Coats. We love the style and the way Rothschild coats wash and wear so well. We pass them on in like new condition! We'll be passing last years coats on now!
